Michael Sharp is Vice President and Director of Redistricting Services at Research & Polling and has been with the company for over 25 years. Mr. Sharp has a Master's Degree in Geography from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from New Mexico State University. His educational background emphasizes demography and geography, as well as the utilization of geographic information systems (GIS) and tools for analysis. Mr. Sharp specializes in census-related and demographic projects.
Mr. Sharp is also responsible for performing election return, voter registration and population analyses; maintaining the in-house sampling database containing over 1,000,000 records; managing GIS research projects involving voter behavior, population patterns, and site location; redistricting election district boundaries; assisting county and state officials with voting precinct issues; and handling requests for New Mexico demographic and political information.
